A week with Lauren

Lauren Kita is one of the fabulous teachers that we have here at Sardinia Yoga. Lauren is a Yoga Therapist and  has a PhD in Psychology. Lauren helps stressed-out individuals to re-balance, de-stress and find more peace and fulfillment to their lives. Lauren believes that yoga offers a complete system for enhancing well being.

She is so passionate about empowering people with the tools to reclaim their health and better manage the stresses of modern life.

Lauren has recently finished teaching for two weeks with us in Sardinia . Here’s what she had to say about her time there…

‘We would wake for breakfast for 7.30am, by which time the sun was always shining. Some guests actually woke up early to watch the incredible sunrise on the beach. We then had our class from 8-10am overlooking the sea. Then after a delicious brunch the guests would spend the day sunbathing, or they would embark on a trip of some sort, whether that would be a boat trip, visiting the local market or winery. In the evening guests would generally congregate around the pool bar before heading off to one of the local restaurants for the evening – our favourite restaurants were Hivaoa or Spinnaker.

If you’ve got a few hours spare in the day then i would highly recommend going for a walk to Porto Cervo marina or into the town and treat yourself to a delicious gelato, or head down to the beach and go for a dip in the sea!

Some of the ladies on this trip called themselves ‘ladies that droga’ which referred to ‘drunken yoga’! They weren’t drunk while practicing of course, but they did like the odd Aperol Spritzer in the evening!

If you’re coming on a yoga retreat with us then don’t forget your sun cream, a good book and most importantly an open mind!’

Lauren will next be in Sardinia with us from the 3 – 10 September, but if those dates don’t work for you we have lots of other amazing teachers with us throughout the summer at our three locations  – you’re spoilt for choice.
